S.F. gets new mayor
San
as
After nine consecutive years Francisco's mayor, Diane Feinstein handed over the reins to Art Agnos on Jan. 8. Feinstein was required to step aside since the city charter precludes anyone from serving as mayor for more than two consecutive terms. Along with the mayoral hat, Angos inherited a city fraught with AIDS and a projected $77 million deficit. Agnos pledged to keep AIDS the top priority for the city and to continue pressing for more federal funding to combat the fatal disease.

Dr. Antone F. Feo, of Westwood Psychological Services, is conducting a research project designed to identify personality characteristics of the male homosexual chemically dependent individual. In explaining his rationale for the study, Dr, Feo states, "The rate of chemical dependency among homosexuals is at epidemic proportions. To provide the best possible treatment, we must fully understand the disease."
The study requires two types of volunteers male homosexuals who are chemically dependent and currently in recovery, and male homosexuals who are not chemically dependent. Qualifying individuals willing to participate in this private and confidential study should contact Dr. Feo at (216) 228-9910. The study requires 11/2 hours, in return for which participants will receive a psychological evaluation valued at $100.
